Background of the Office

The coordination office plays a pivotal role within the institution. Task plans and accomplishments are reported directly to the Research Publication Ethics System Directorate, the Community Services, engagement and technology transfer Directorate, and the Dean of the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. This office serves as a vital unit within the college, overseeing all operational matters related to research initiatives and community service activities. The Coordinator is integral in ensuring that both research efforts and community engagement initiatives align with the college’s mission and ethical standards, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes academic excellence and social responsibility.

Responsibilities of the office

The Office of the College Research and Community Services, engagement and technology transfer Coordinator plays a crucial role in advancing research and community engagement within the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. Key responsibilities include leading the Research and Community Service (RCS) Council, developing a strategic RCS framework aligned with university goals, and coordinating various research and community service initiatives.

Additionally, the Coordinator mentors research teams in project development and oversee a rigorous proposal review process to ensure adherence to objectives. The office to the utmost of its efforts tries to identify skill gaps among staffs, facilitating necessary training and capacity-building efforts. The Coordinator also monitors RCS project activities, organizes conferences and seminars for knowledge sharing, and supports the publication of research outputs. Ensuring timely production of materials, preparing the RCS budget for approval, and maintaining comprehensive documentation are also essential duties which contribute to the College’s mission of academic excellence and social responsibility.
